Since the nineties the pianist Cristina Ariagno (great scholar of the Art nouveau
movement) dedicated herself to the execution and revaluation of the French composers
who operated between the 2nd half of '800 and the 1st one of 900. She played
for important musical societies in all Italy, Spain, France, Romania, Germany,
Austria, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, South America, collaborating with several orchestras
like the "Piccola Sinfonica" of Milano and the "Orchestra Filarmonica
" of Minsk too. Graduated in piano, choral music and choir direction,
she improved herself with Clara Fumagalli, a great pupil of Benedetta Michelangeli. In
2007 she obtained a great success of critics and public (5 Music stars) thanks
to the recording of the integral work of Erik Satie (Brilliant, 6 CD). The scrupolous
analyse of the piano score together with the deep knowledge of the historical
period and to the timber research brought her to record the integral of the "chamber"
music with piano of Debussy, the piano opera for bow-strings and piano of Tailleferre
with the Art Nouveau Ensemble, the piano opera of Aubert and some pieces of Poulenc,
Milhaud, Ravel, Boulanger, Ibert. It's been several years that she gave up
teaching at the Academy of Music to dedicate herself to the contemporary art.
