MEETINGS IN ATELIER

MEETING WITH THE POPE

The "Atelier Ariagno" becomes a real meeting place to think over art, on man and his expressions. Between November and December 2009, three personalities of the Turin culture will talk about Seasons, that is "Reflections on the man's seasons".

On 28 November, the protagonist was Guido Curto, on 12 December Younis Tawfik and on 19 December Massimo Centini. The works of Cristina Ariagno were the starting point of the discussion; the protagonists invited public to reflect upon the relationship between man and art, life and spirituality.
It was very interesting to discuss these concepts from another point of view as to start a deep argument together with the speakers and to enjoy the works by means of a teacher and critic of contemporary art, a writer and of an anthropologist…

In Romano Canavese there's the celebration of the Napoleon Battle of 26 May 1800.
During the 2008 historical commemoration the subject of discussion in Atelier was War and Peace, meeting and "four-handed" exhibition of Gianni Depaoli and Cristina Ariagno on cruelty and peace research.
In 2010, the subject was the Female Fashion in the Napoleon Age, subject that pointed out the use of the art of thread that has no time: Paola Trabanelli designes Imperial style clothes with authentic fabrics and Cristina Ariagno, by means of Titanium threads, "stiches" the works that "dress" and change the human being in the course of time.
